They've asked me to help them recruit a dynamic Category Manager to look after their Fuel spend for the group.
This role would lend itself brilliantly to anyone who has a strong grasp of 'commodities' (ingredients, fuel, parts etc.) and can identify the opportune time to buy.
The remit blends strategic work, such as sourcing new suppliers and determining long-term strategy, as well as more tactical aspects of the job, like placing orders and expediting processes.
This position offers a great flex between office and home work, and can be based within commuting distance of Trafford Park (M17).
The ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years' experience within procurement
- Ideally has exposure to 'commodities' - Manufacturing, Pharma, Food, Fuel etc.
- CIPS qualified, preferable not essential
- Sharp, analytical approach
- Salary: £48k - £52k DOE
- Hybrid working
- Fantastic scope for progression within a global business
