A global leader in their field, my client are currently recruiting a Category Manager to look after general services; PS, IT, consulting, marketing, consulting. recruitment.
Key areas of responsibility:
End to end management of the multi site procurement process for specific multi-site spend (c.£70mil annual spend)
Work closely with a range of key stakeholders to ensure effective and successful procurement across the commodity focus
Manage all related tendering, contracts and negotiations in line with the project plans
Understand the requirements of the end users and develop a strategy to deliver
Co-ordinate with the greater procurement team to deliver best value solutions
Create annual value activity plans in line with both business and project objectives
Ensure the strategy and outcomes are being delivered through performance metrics and regular review/update meetings with those involved
Embed Ts&Cs that achieve balance between risk, flexibility and commercial benefit
Develop and maximise stakeholder relationships, both internal and external
Occasional travel across sites
Must have a breadth of indirect Â spend responsibility, ideally IT and recruitment exposure
Commodity management approach ad experience
Procurement experience in the delivery of major projects
Drafting and negotiating contractual terms
Ability to lead and prioritise multiple projects
Proven negotiation successes
Stakeholder management and influencing capability
Manufacturing or construction background would be beneficial
