We have a great opportunity here for a commercial manager to support an aerospace company operating out of Leicester.


Role of Commercial Manager
>Liaison with customer and suppliers on contract details
>Maintenance of contract baseline including terms and conditions
>Negotiation of contracts and change proposals
>Flow down of commercial requirements for subcontracts
>Supervision of competitive bidding for subcontracts
>Progress invoices and payments
>Advise programme team of legal and contractual obligations
>Ensure compliance with export control regulations
>Managing subcontractors
>Cost model preparation for new bids.

Area's we'll be looking for the commercial manager to take a lead on

>Maintain contract baseline including terms and conditions
>Monitor programme activities in order to define an eligible charge to the customer
>Progress Milestone Claims, Invoices and Payments
>Manage and ensure the delivery from the Programme Managers
>The competitive bidding process for subcontracts and in preparation of agreements
>Any negotiations of subcontracts and in preparation of agreements
>Implementing contract changes and performance trade-offs

Key Skills Required

>Relevant knowledge of legal and contractual obligations.

Essential

>Proven experience within an industry similar position with emphasis on high value international contracts.
>Proven successful experience in leading negotiation of complex contracts.
>Strong business and commercial acumen.
>Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-cultural / multinational team environment.
>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
>Knowledge of export control regulations.
>Excellent ability to quickly build both internal and external successful business relationships.
>Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and deliver on tight timeframes.
