Job Description

Due to the success of multi site group business, an opportunity has arisen for a technically strong accountant to join the team based out of their head office in Amersham.

Responsibilities in the role will include

The preparation of the HO companies' monthly management accounts, including posting monthly journals, preparation of TBs and reporting packages, completion of balance sheet reconciliations and other analysis.
The preparation of the half yearly HO companies' group reporting package.
The accounting for certain Group-wide costs that are held in the HO books, namely Share-based payments, Defined Benefit Pensions, Treasury shares, Foreign exchange hedging, Bonuses and consolidation entries.
The preparation of the Group's Year End and Interim Accounts and managing the Group audit.
The preparation of the UK statutory accounts.
The annual budgeting process, specifically the preparation of UK HO budgets, review of subsidiary budgets, and reconciliation of consolidated results to prior year.
Responding to adhoc technical accounting queries that arise from the subsidiaries.
Maintaining the Group's policies and procedures manuals and publications.

As the ideal candidate for this role you will be a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA and have a strong technical knowledge of accounting principals GAAP and reporting standards IFRS. Candidates from accounting practice are welcome to apply for this role.
