Macildowie Marketing are working with a well-known brand in Nottingham that has an exceptional pedigree and history having gone from strength to strength. We are looking for a Head of Digital to take ownership of the digital and e-commerce area of the business and lead a small digital team. This role will report directly into the Managing Director and be responsible for continuing their digital growth.
The main purpose of this position will be to manage and execute the strategy to increase commercial activity and improve brand performance through all online channels. This includes the promotion of various brands within the business and using a wide range of digital marketing techniques to support wider business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of knowledge in a range of digital skills. They will be well-versed in various digital marketing concepts and how digital activity can increase brand positioning and drive business growth.
-Develop and implement the strategy to drive business growth online using various digital marketing techniques
-Take ownership of commercial activity through digital platforms including branded websites
-Create and implement strategies to build long-term digital connections with customers
-Implement SEO & PPC strategies to maximise online visibility and generate website traffic
-Measure the performance of digital marketing activity using a variety of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Salesforce etc.)
-Work with the brand marketing team to create content for email, social and website to improve digital performance
-Report KPIs back to the management team
-Manage partnerships with external agencies
-Develop the digital marketing plan to deliver strategic business objectives
-Contribute to the global digital team on local requirements for website functionality and ways of working
-Work with the brand managers to plan promotions and commercial activity online
-Maintain a high quality of digital presence across all brands and channels
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a B2C e-commerce function and an excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices. You will have an analytical mind-set and critical thinking and naturally ROI and data-driven.
Search Marketing experience (SEO/PPC) will be important in addition to working with email marketing tools and CMS systems. You must be familiar with growing commercial activity through a number of brand sites and ultimately optimising these websites to deliver an increase in traffic, revenue and engagement with customers. This will include increasing brand following across social media and email subscription.
