A market leading trade/construction business is looking for a Logistics Performance Manager to join them. Joining a really close team who like to go out for team building events including Friday night meals, you will be offered a supportive environment and various training and development plans. Your role will see you have 6 3PL/4PL contracts whose performance you will be managing and reporting on across 5 sites. Primarily being based in North Leicestershire, you will also spend time travelling to each of the sites to conduct performance reviews.
Working closely with all of the transport providers, you will be managing their performance to the agreed contracted KPIs.
Conducting formal review meetings with transport providers and sites as required.
Monthly performance reviews with 5 sites across the UK.
Identifying any account issues and creating a recovery plan which is monitored on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Working closely with the Distribution Manager to create, develop and implement new KPIs for all 3PL and 4PL providers in line with company objectives.
Analysing and manipulating data to identify underperformance trends, root causes and then working with the providers and central teams to create action plans to correct these.
You will be responsible for leading improvement projects and initiatives when required and manage key internal and external stakeholders to manage these changes.
Plan and manage additional haulage cover for peak periods and increased volumes.
Conducting weekly, monthly and quarterly haulier quality audits and reporting back to internal stakeholders.
You will have responsibility to assist in the delivery of the safety strategy across all of the suppliers and sites. This will include investigating any transport incidents.
So what will you need?
You will have ideally worked within a transport environment and have experience of managing contracts or suppliers.
It will be beneficial if you have a CPC or health and safety qualifications.
It would be highly beneficial if you have experience in SAP, however it is only essential to have a working knowledge of ERP systems.
Working knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS) would also be beneficial.
You must have intermediate to advanced levels of Microsoft Excel and be able to analyse and manipulate data.
Previous experience of Account Management is essential, this can be with customers and suppliers, managing and monitoring all KPIs and SLAs.
3PL knowledge would also be an advantage.
