Macildowie are currently recruiting for an EA to a Chairman working for a small organisation based in Leicestershire. This role requires an individual who can provide an excellent service to the Chairman in a range of areas and ensures discretion at all times.

This is a permanent full time position.


Handle tasks at all levels to support the Chairman as required in his busy day-to-day activities

Performing a diverse range of executive level administrative duties including managing calendars, composing correspondence, arranging travel plans and providing agenda and minutes for meetings

Responding to the Chairman's correspondence by email and post

Providing administrative support for the Chairman's Charitable Foundation and the many Advisory Boards that he works with

Supporting all Board Meetings by creating the agendas, relevant papers and compiling the minutes and actions

Attending internal and external meetings on the Chairman's behalf and ensuring the Chairman is fully informed of the discussed topics and follow up actions

Ensuring the Chairman meets all commitments and deadlines by keeping them informed of upcoming events

Handling queries from people at all levels, including important visitors, fellow staff members and industry specialists and public sector officials

Liaising with other departments within the company to obtain any information or data required

Carrying out projects or research to help compile detailed reports and presentation materials

Manage the Chairman's time and responsibilities effectively and efficiently

Regional travel required to support conferences and events, particularly when the Chairman is required to speak at events

Booking of UK and international travel, including all transport, accommodation, and other particulars


In order to be considered you must have the following experience:

Significant previous experience in an Executive Assistant or Senior Personal Assistant role
A high level of confidentiality, integrity, and discretion
Excellent organisational skills ability to multi-task is vital
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle pressure and work to tight deadlines
Experience of compiling board level reports and detailed briefing packs
Excellent interpersonal / communication skills including professional written and verbal communications
Competent with Microsoft Office Software, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience of event planning preferred but not essential
Experience of managing projects is desirable but not essential
Professional appearance which reflects the Chairman's exceptional standards, both internally and at external events
