The operational finance team is a team of financial professionals that drive business performance by effectively business partnering across the operational teams. The team partners key stakeholders to make informed and effective commercial decisions and maximise value creation.
Within this role you will effectively business partnering the Head of Operations Development and the Stores Director and their teams to support the delivery of the objectives. Proactively drive and provide insightful analysis across the entire store portfolio to improve profitability as well as helping to shape future store investment by understanding performance of current investments.
Weekly and periodic reporting on performance and synergy delivery against relevant targets seeking to provide the actionable insight behind the numbers. Communication with all relevant stakeholders with attendance at bi-weekly performance tracking group.
Lead performance insight and analysis input into regular cross-functional performance improvement review sessions.
Proactively seek to identify opportunities to improve performance across the whole estate influencing decision making to drive these opportunities through to implementation.
Provide an end to end business partnering service which will utilise information across sales, margins and costs.
Linkage into the cost to serve model to understand individual store performance.
Working collaboratively with the finance team, lead the creation of budgets and forecasts including communication with all relevant stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with the finance and Resource Planning teams to ensure full P&L forecasts are established and set up in all relevant systems, allowing for performance tracking and operational effectiveness. Reviewing these targets regularly in each store's first trading year.
Responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
As the ideal candidate for this role you will hold a recognised accounting qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. You will possess the ability to present complex information in a simplified manner, posses' strong commercial acumen, curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers. Strong analytical skills, Excel & PowerPoint skills and attention to detail are a minimum requirement in this role, SQL experience would be advantageous
