Job Description

Our successful and growing circa £25million turnover Northampton based client, a division of a market leading group and a stand out business within their sector is currently looking to recruit a new Finance Manager.

This is a rewarding, challenging and broad new finance opportunity to work in a proactive and dynamic UK business where you will be responsible for managing financial control and streamlining, standardising and continuously improving weekly, monthly and quarterly processes.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, the key areas of responsibility of this exciting and varied new role will include: Financial Control :- The management of two finance assistants, full responsibility for all sales and purchase ledger activities and bank reconciliations; fixed assets, leases, stock movements and reconciliations; work in progress; prepayments and accruals; payroll reconciliation, ForEx accounts, statutory accounts and support of the year end and audit process, VAT and Taxation. Supplier Payment Management : To maintain and build strong supplier and customer relationships actively managing supplier terms and credit limits; to manage the transactional team and to monitor KPI's and SLA's; working closely and in conjunction with the FD to manage banking relationships and payments as well as monitoring capex and purchasing processes and procedures. Business Partnering: - To work closely with the senior leadership team and business stakeholder's in challenging, facilitating and influencing their forecasting process and contract profitability potential.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and confident ACA / ACCA / ACMA Qualified Finance Manager / Company Accountant / Management Accountant / Financial Accountant with a minimum of two years PQE, coupled with strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.

This role will require the successful candidate to have a “can do†attitude and “inquisitive business partnering skills†as well the ability to manipulate, analyse and present key business MI and data to stakeholder's and the FD.
