Macildowie are delighted to be partnering exclusively with an east midlands based organisation within the education sector who are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager.
It is a great time to join with exciting plans for the coming years and you will be playing an instrumental part in both leading and helping delivering projects, which will significantly impact the wider organisation.
This Finance Manager post is a new role in the structure reporting into the Director of Finance that has come about due to growth. There is also a view that you will deputise for the Director of Finance when needed and so offers a great opportunity to progress and develop also should this be wanted.
No prior public sector/ education experience is required.
Finance Manager Responsibilities
- Planning and executing the annual business planning and budget process, liaising with the various budget holders
- Preparing the monthly accounts commentary as well as cash flow forecasts
- Overseeing the principal accountant in producing in depth analysis of monthly variances
- Liaising with internal and external auditors and also assisting with the year end close down as well as production of year end group accounts
- Managing a small transactional finance team
- Fully qualified
- Excellent pension - c20% employer contribution
