Job Description

Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for a strong financial accountant to join an international business based out of their Luton flag ship offices. This business have expereinced change positive change and investment in recent times and are now looking to bring in a financial accountant to manage the team and help them develop.

Reporting to the financial controller and managing a small team of qualified and part qualified accountants you will be tasked with:

Accurate and timely reporting of month end UK numbers. Control over month end reporting timetable for EMEA bases.
Ownership over reporting monthly financials to Group
Review of month balance sheet reconciliation process in the UK
Control over VAT treatment on UK sales invoices, including record keeping and responding to customer queries.
Oversight of half year and full year reporting to Group.
Statutory Accounts process for all UK entities.
Management of a team of UK financial accountants.
Identifying and recording risks and opportunities within the UK environment.
Supporting the FP&A team in generating budgets and forecasts
Month end cash flow analysis.
Oversight of cash recovery through Sales Ledger ageing reviews.
Co-ordination of the European Regional Finance Managers for Group Reporting activities and ad hoc projects.
Management of UK control environment both at a head office
Management of internal and external auditors
Ownership of the relationship with the Support Centre (outsourced AP/AR/GL function)
Oversight of company secretarial function provided by Group
Ad hoc finance projects as required by the Financial Controller or Finance Director.

As the ideal candidate for this role you will be qualified ACA or ACCA and ideally have trained within a large practice. You will also have had at least one years experience of working within industry and, if that role included managing staff it would be highly advantageous.
