Job Description

Job Title: Purchase Ledger Assistant

Location: Crick, Northampton

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum

Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain proof of delivery from suppliers
  • Create and match Goods Received Notes (GRNs) to purchase orders
  • Process high volumes of purchase invoices for multiple companies
  • Match purchase invoices with purchase orders on the system
  • Code invoices to the correct nominal ledger codes
  • Obtain relevant approvals for invoice payments
  • Process weekly payments through BACS
  • Reconcile supplier statements to creditors accounts
  • Verify and maintain supplier accounts
  • Provide cover to the finance department during staff absence
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as requested by management

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Effective communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
  • A team player who is flexible and enjoys collaborating with colleagues.
  • Highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines
