Manderin Speaking - Commercial Finance Manager | Lincoln| Manufacturing | £45,000 - £55,000 | Hybrid working
Macildowie are currently working with a market leading international, manufacturing business who are seeking a high calibre Commercial Finance Manager with a strong Financial and Commercial background to join their team. The role reports directly to the CFO with a dotted line to Finance and you will hold senior relationships within the group and externally.
To support the UK based departments and executive team decision making, through the production of insightful, accurate financial and business information and recommendations. To drive for profit across the UK business, supporting and enhancing customer and channel manager performance, marketing team initiatives, and cost-effectiveness improvements, growing profit and margins in the UK P&L. Regular communication with the parent company in China is also a big part of this role, so the ability to speak Mandarin is crucial.
The purpose of the Commercial Finance Manager is to support and drive the operational activity by business partnering utilising through financial planning, reporting and analytics and provide performance and productivity insight to guide business decisions and planning.
So what is the role?
- Manage and coordinate the analysis of the specific business' targets, budget, and strategic plan, including variances to the plan.
- Build strong rapport with Departmental Heads, becoming a key member of the financial decision-making process.
- Provide financial insight to different business functions, ensuring transparency in planning and variance reporting.
- Collaborate with the team to take responsibility for the budget and strategic plan.
- Deliver performance updates to stakeholders and key partners, connecting insights into business strategy to influence decisions and outcomes.
- Identify and take ownership of opportunities to improve processes, particularly around absorption and standard costing.
- Drive the development of new financial systems, processes, and automation.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Support Senior Management on ad hoc projects, especially those required by the Parent Company.
- Support any other periodic reports, especially those needed by the Parent Company.
- Liaise with the Parent Company in China as and when required.
ABOUT YOU
Is this role and opportunity appealing to you? To be considered for the position, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Fluent Mandarin language skills.
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification.
- A Degree or similar qualification in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- Experience in a Financial Business Partnering role would be advantageous.
- Recent experience working within a Manufacturing Business.
- Experience working with people from a wide range of different cultures.
- Ability to manipulate and interpret data to understand business performance and solve business problems.
- Demonstrated strong financial project management skills.
