Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Up to £150,000 + 20% Bonus + Car + Executive Benefits

About The Business:


We are working with a dynamic and rapidly expanding high-tech engineering business based in Northampton, at the forefront of innovation and technology. The business are embarking on a new phase of growth and will be looking for an experienced Finance Director/CFO to help support the CEO and lead the wider business over the coming years.

The Role:

As CFO, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the business through a fast growth trajectory. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, and maintaining their competitive edge in the market.


Key Responsibilities:


Build robust financial reporting processes and stock management processes.


Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes and ensure the month end process is efficient and accurate.


Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making - working closely with the CEO to bring the numbers to life and provide challenge to stakeholders across the business.


Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including regulatory compliance, year end audit and production of financial statements.


Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team to help drive value and deliver insight to the business.


Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including joint venture partners.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems, ensuring the businesses ERP system is used effectively across the business.


Support with sales growth, specifically with contract reviews and margin analysis to ensure that new sales grow the business in an equitable and profitable way.


Essential Qualifications and Experience:


Proven experience as a Finance Leader (Finance Director/CFO) or in a similar senior financial role, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing sectors.


A good understanding of joint ventures and experience in managing complex financial structures is preferable but not absolutely essential.


A blend of technical and commercial accounting skills, with an ability to translate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.


Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).


A demonstrable ability to move from an incredibly hands on role to a strategic one throughout any given working day.


Clear experience supporting an Exec team and driving performance through well-developed stakeholder relationships.
