Job Description

Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Daventry

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 - dependent on experience - With a bonus available

Type: Permanent - Hybrid working hours available

Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM - Monday to Friday - 1 hour lunch - Flexibility with hours

Job Description:

As a Credit Controller, your primary responsibility will be to provide essential support to the Finance team, specialising in Accounts Receivable and Credit Control. Your role will encompass the following key accountabilities:

  • Timely Payments: Ensure customers pay as agreed.
  • Debtor Balance Management: Monitor balances for reduced DSO.
  • Credit Evaluation: Review credit reports and propose facilities for new customers.
  • Account Management: Create and manage new customer accounts and Master Data.
  • Credit Facility Oversight: Review and manage customer credit facilities.
  • Communication and Query Resolution: Liaise with customers and internal teams to resolve queries.
  • System Development: Collaborate on credit control system development with various departments.

Key Technical Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work effectively to meet personal and organisational objectives.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Practical Knowledge of VAT and duties on International Sales
