Job Description

A reputable manufacturing business based in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire, is currently seeking a capable and experienced Accounts Controller to join their team. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary based on experience, with negotiable working hours.

Accounts Controller Manager

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, based on experience.

Hours: 34hrs per week - In office

Permanent

Role Responsibilities:

  • Processing weekly payroll efficiently
  • Managing credit control and sales ledger maintenance
  • Handling supplier payments and purchase ledger maintenance
  • Operating the automated invoicing system on a daily basis
  • Reconciling supplier statements accurately
  • Allocating banking and cash efficiently
  • Generating cash flow reports as required
  • Completing VAT returns promptly
  • Assisting in the year-end audit process
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders across the business
  • Providing HR support if your skillset and experience allow

Requirements:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in payroll and accounts, preferably within a medium-sized manufacturing environment
  • Strong organisational skills and self-motivation
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly accounting software
  • Formal accounting qualifications are preferred, though candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
  • Familiarity with Access Dimensions Accounting software and Access Factory Master is advantageous
  • Experience with Sage Payroll is desirable but not essential
