Job Description

Job Title: Credit Control Administrator

Location: Northampton

Salary: £24,000 to £27,000 - dependent on experience

Type: Permanent - Hybrid working available

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 1 hour lunch - Flexible Hours

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control administrator to join a dynamic finance team based in Northampton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's credit and collections process, ensuring timely payment from customers, and supporting overall financial stability.

Credit control experience is not essential, we are looking for someone with great attention to detail, happy to learn and has experience in using systems / computer literate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chasing payments in accordance with account terms.
  • Resolving customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinating with internal teams, including dispatch and sales, to facilitate order release.
  • Uploading data to the invoice discounting facility.
  • Conducting credit management activities, such as reviewing customer accounts.
  • Processing credit card payments over the phone.

Experience / Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Previous experience in credit control is desirable but not essential. Candidates with strong administrative experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
  • A proactive mind-set and the willingness to learn and develop within the role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
