Group Management Accountant | £55,000 - £60,000 | Ashbourne | High Growth, Global Company
Macildowie Finance is currently supporting a global manufacturer in their search for a Group Management Accountant to support their growth trajectory. With operations spanning the UK, USA and Europe, this is an exciting time to join the company as they continue to work on their ambitious growth plans across the globe.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to join the dynamic Finance team in Ashbourne, reporting to the newly-appointed Finance Director. This pivotal role involves consolidating financial data across global operations, providing accurate reporting and analysis, and supporting the management team with critical financial insights. Additionally, you will ensure effective cost control, debt management, and payment processing.
What is the job?
- Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts for the group.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insightful commentary on variances.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead the financial implementation of the ERP system globally, particularly in the USA and Europe.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and coordinate audits.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Liaise with regional professional advisors to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting and tax compliance.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Provide ad-hoc financial support and analysis for various projects as required.
What are you like?
- Must be ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
- Proven experience in group finance within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Must be willing to travel to Ashbourne 5 days per week.
- Strong commercial awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software systems (Epicor, Sage, etc.).
- BI/FP&A dashboard development experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
