Job Description

Job Title: Purchase Ledger Assistant

Location: Kettering

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum

Type: Permanent - Flexible working hours in the week

Study support is available for the right candidate

Company Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing finance team who are also predicted to undergo various projects and continued growth. They are looking for someone to support the finance operations as a well as the wider business whilst handling day to day processing of invoices, payments, and accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and code purchase ledger invoices in the system
  • Prepare payment runs and cash flow reports
  • Process payments via Sage and the bank
  • Handle ad hoc payment requests
  • Communicate with suppliers about payments
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile monthly credit card statements
  • Prepare agency invoice summaries
  • Issue weekly and monthly self-bill invoices to suppliers
  • File invoices, statements, and self-bills
  • Allocate payments and transfer funds
  • Collaborate with departments to address supplier queries and issues
  • Verify and authorize invoices against databases
  • Enter bank payments and interest charges in Sage

Additional Duties:

  • Cover for the accounts team as needed
  • Take on ad hoc tasks and projects when requested

Experience Required:

  • Attention to detail
  • 1 years' experience plus within purchase ledger is advantageous
