Macildowie are supporting a Leicester business in recruiting an interim Financial/Project Accountant to start at short notice for c6mnths+ to work within their experienced finance team.


As Financial/Project Accountant you will be responsible for assisting the wider finance team with financial accounting duties plus a project relating to their change in year end whilst being responsible for ensuring audit requests are fulfilled, tracking of project costs and ensuring key stakeholders are given an update on project progress. You will also be involved in systems testing for finance changes whilst ensuring internal accounting processes and controls are in place and also assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts making sure the business is adhering to accounting standards.

You will need previous Financial Accounting, ideally have a finance qualification plus reporting and process experience in order to be considered for this interim position along with experience of working on accounting projects, and working with internal and external auditors. As this opportunity is working within a really vibrant, and energetic finance team, you will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as this role requires lots of interaction with people at all levels within the rest of the business. Analytical experience would also be highly advantageous.
