Job Description

Our client an established and award winning growth focused SME / Medium sized business who are part of a wider and larger International Group are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager to join their reputable UK accounting team.

In this broad finance role, the Financial Accounting Manager will join this manufacturing firm, who are part of a wider group; at their offices in Leicester (the specific location is also commutable from Coventry and Nottingham). This is a new role that offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work in a highly successful and fast paced group environment.

The overall purpose of this new opportunity will be to support the Group Financial Controller with the management, preparation and consolidation of monthly group management & financial accounts.

Responsibilities of the Financial Accounting Manager will include: Management, preparation and consolidation of Management Accounts; Assisting the FC with annual budgets, strategic plans and quarterly forecasting; Presenting KPI's and management information; Preparation of statutory accounts, VAT returns and tax pack information; Preparing financial statements for presentation within annual and interim reports; Assuming responsibility for carrying out internal audits for subsidiary operations;
Maintaining the group consolidation system; Developing and maintaining internal reporting processes.

This role will best suit an ambitious, technically qualified ACMA , ACCA or ACA Auditor / Audit Manager / Financial Accountant / Group Management Accountant or Finance Manager with a detailed knowledge of statutory accounting, IFRS and GAAP /reporting standards.

Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial, either in industry (direct reports) or in practice (overseeing audits).

Essential to this role is the ability to prioritise, control and deliver in a deadline driven environment whilst challenging, influencing and facilitating senior stakeholder's both at Head Office and across the wider group.
