Job Description

Our established and award winning East Midlands client, a successful, vibrant and dynamic Customer focused business is currently looking to recruit a new Financial Controller. We are looking for a technically strong qualified finance manager / financial controller to be responsible for maintaining tight and robust financial controls as well as providing technical, financial and value adding management accounting support / business partnering to the Finance Director and wider Executive Leadership team.

The key responsibilities of this exciting new Financial Controller opportunity will include; the management and supervision of a small accounting and finance team; Â responsibility for the production of both management & financial accounts including a contribution to year end financial processes, statutory accounts and audit processes; Reviews of regulatory reporting; continuous improvement of key controls including policies and procedures; Financial oversight of the production of ad-hoc monthly board reports and papers for executive level analysis; management of daily banking requirements; Supervision of back office treasury; the development and financial modeling of management information requirements with external consultants coupled with SQL reporting.

The successful candidate, a confident and commercially aware self starter will be an ambitious, enthusiastic and highly approachable CCAB Qualified Group Accountant / Financial Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Controller with strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently. Â This role will require the successful candidate to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business. Strong spreadsheet, data manipulation and MS excel skills are also highly desirable as is recent experience of statutory reporting, treasury management experience and the development of policies, processes, systems and controls.
