Macildowie Finance are currently working on an exclusive and retained basis with a growing and ambitious SME business based in Leicestershire, to recruit a Financial Controller position. The role will suit a hands on qualified individual with a background in process improvement and adding value ideally within a manufacturing/costing environment.
As a business they have achieved positive revenue and profit growth in the last two years and are looking to bulk out their finance function to provide strategic guidance and analytical support across the business.
Responsibilities will include:
Management, coaching and development of a finance team of 4.
Lead on all month end management accounting and year end statutory reporting, ensuring that all internal and external frameworks are adhered to.
Take a lead on the budgeting and forecasting process across the business, working with Heads of functions and Cost Centre Managers to ensure a standardised and timely process is used across the entire business.
Support the wider business and in particular the Senior Management team by providing ad hoc modelling and analysis regarding Capex investment, customer profitability etc.
Maintain a tight control on all cash flow, as well as handling the business' foreign exchange.
Work closely with the external audit, banking and insurance providers.
To be considered for this role you must be qualified ACA/ACCA CIMA ideally you will have operated within a multi-currency/international environment.
Previous experience of manufacturing accounting including BOM's and costings will be highly advantageous.
Previous line management experience is essential.
