Our exclusive and retained international manufacturing client, a formidable player in their market is currently looking to recruit a new Finance Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, highly reputable and commercially focused multi-site manufacturing and FMCG business where you will be responsible for providing financial, commercial, process and procedures expertise / support to the Finance Director and the senior leadership team.
Amongst the key responsibilities of this exciting, visible and very hands-on new role will be to supervise the day to day running of a small finance and payables function; to lead the month end processes including accruals and prepayment bank reconciliations, and Intercompany reconciliations; to ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled; to ensure timely and accurate reporting to group stakeholders on monthly figures; to be instrumental in assisting with year-end and statutory account/tax computations (including VAT) & the preparation in liaison with external consultants; to review and analyse various contracts & tenders, ongoing and under negotiation to prepare and submit VAT returns in line with current digital tax requirements; to ensure tight controls and postings of ledgers as well as reconciling data for sales and purchases as well as to be the lead person for providing detailed cost and raw materials analysis, including bills of material and wastage. This role will also assume responsibility for the annual stock takes (at multiple sites) ensuring efficient inventory and stock management controls are in place and adhered to.
I am sure that you will agree that this is an interesting and varied role which will require the successful candidate to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business and wider group. (within both finance and non-finance functions) Strong spreadsheet, ERP and MS excel skills are also essential as is any recent sector experience of working in/within Manufacturing / Engineering / Production / FMCG and / or costing. This role will best suit an ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIPFA qualified accountant, financial accountant, finance manager, business partner or manufacturing accountant with at least three years post qualification experience.
