Our prestigious and award winning Northamptonshire based client is currently looking to appoint a new Financial Controller. This is a rewarding and challenging opportunity to join an established and respected International Manufacturing Business where you will be responsible for managing a small finance function and for driving greater efficiencies in financial reporting, financial controls and processes.
The key responsibilities of this broad accounting and finance role will include all aspects of managing the smooth running and financial output of a cost focused manufacturing business including the timely and accurate production of financial and management accounts and management information.
The core responsibilities for this role will include: To take responsibility for a small finance team; Responsibility for all external reporting to Government agencies and tax authorities; To co-ordinate and produce an annual budget and provide regular updates; To produce effective and useful monthly reporting to the Directors; To produce targeted and challenging weekly reporting to managers and decision makers; To ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are performed on a monthly basis; Liaison with external accountants for tax and annual audit; To work with operational and commercial colleagues to calculate product costs and devise appropriate and effective pricing structures; To control cash and foreign exchange exposure; To ensure that the business has the right information to support any significant decision being made; Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained; to be involved in the Implementation and maintenance of a new ERP system.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful business and will suit a confident and organised Qualified or Qualified by experience Company Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Controller with experience of working in the Manufacturing / Production Industry. This role will require the successful candidate to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business. Strong spreadsheet, data manipulation and MS excel skills are also highly desirable (preferably to an advanced / VBA level) as is any recent sector experience of product costing and pricing modeling.
