Financial Controller - Lincolnshire - upto £45,000

Are you looking for a Finance job that can lead to a Finance Director position within 18-24 months? Working for a business with a strong track record of acquisition and growth? My client are seeking a fully qualified accountant to join them as a Financial Controller, reporting into the CEO and CFO with a view to stepping into the Number 1 position.

My client have a deep history in Lincolnshire and have operated here for over 150 years. Through organic growth and acquisition they now operate from 8 offices across the region and are one of largest businesses in their industry in the area.

So what is the job?

Having sat down with the Chief Executive, he is clear on what he wants. Someone to oversee the existing finance team (they are a long standing team who know their jobs inside out.) and someone who will improve the management reporting and be ahead of the decision making curve.

The business has invested heavily in technology and want to continue to do with Finance leading the charge. You will be expected to help the board with decision making and to go to them with suggestions of how things can be improved.

There are some exciting projects ahead as well. The business will be implementing a group structure and you will help to re-organise the accounting structures to reflect this. Also, you are likely to be involved in acquisitions and associated due diligence. The company has acquired over 15 companies in the last 10 years and successfully integrated them into their operations.

As the figure head for Finance, you will be expected to get out to all of the group sites across Lincolnshire and to build strong internal relationships with senior operational managers. This isn't a sit behind your deskfinance job and will require you be away from the Lincoln head office 2-3 days per week.
