I am currently recruiting a Procurement Manager - Fleet for a highly regarded global organisation. This is a newly created role that will be based at their Bedfordshire office.
The key objective is to facilitate and manage a class leading Fleet procurement function that is focused on delivering the strongest possible commercial Fleet solutions to the business.
To be successful in the role you'll need to champion the Fleet function within the business whilst at the same time successfully managing Fleet related suppliers and contracts on a continuous basis.
The role will be very hands on and will require a highly proactive individual that thrives on working in a busy and demanding team environment, to deliver on time, on budget Fleet procurement.
The role plays a key part in ensuring that Fleet negotiate and deliver high quality, value for money vehicles and services to the business.
The successful applicant must have a proven, demonstrative large Fleet procurement background and in-depth, strong Fleet knowledge and experience.
An in-depth understanding of the strongest procurement methods and commercial models employed within the industry is required, as is the ability to understand BU contract requirements whether Cost Plus / Fixed Price / Pass-through / etc. and the resulting procurement implications.

Degree standard education, proven Fleet procurement experience combined with substantial experience of large, diverse Fleets and funding methods.
Experience of effective supplier management up to key / senior stakeholder / decision maker levels.
Ability to think strategically and commercially to identify and deliver opportunities.
Sound analytical skills.
Ability to work in a cross functional team in the delivery of commercial service and benefits.
Experience in managing relationships both externally and internally.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including influencing, presentation, report writing and facilitation skills.
Computer literate all Microsoft products and procurement packages.
