Macildowie Finance are working on an exclusive and retained basis with a leading Warwickshire based business to recruit a Group Financial Controller.
You will be a career driven , aspirational accountant with previous experience of producing statutory accounts for a PE backed/PLC business and building/leading a team on a journey to high performance.
You will be joining a hugely successful business with exciting growth plans for the future, you will provide key insight and reporting for the Senior Leadership Team including Chief Executive, Chairman and CFO. You will be responsible for:
Driving the timely and accurate production of all group reporting, management and financial accounting. Including the production of all Group Accounts to FRS 102 and other relevant principles.
Maintenance and adherence to all Internal Controls Policies across the business.
Leading on all year end accounting activities including fronting the external audit relationship and systems provisioning.
Working with the Group IT function to ensure best practice and optimisation of all Finance Systems; streamlining processes, making efficiency gains and adherence to controls.
Leading, motivating and facilitating the growth and development of the team, with the end goal of reaching 'High Performance' status.
Ensuring that all acquisitions, divestures and investments are accounted for appropriately and accurately to the relevant standards.
Taking a lead on the consolidation of all monthly management accounts.
Being the key contact for all Risk and Controls for the Group, ensuring the framework is embedded within all business activities.
To be considered for this role you will be a Qualified Accountant with previous experience of Group Consolidations and Team Leadership within a PLC or PE backed organisation.
You will be a confident communicator who is comfortable engaging with the business on a variety of levels, providing clear, concise recommendations, advise and guidelines. You will enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic business with entrepreneurship at its heart and will relish the challenge of developing a team to 'Best in Class' status.
You will have a keen interest in keeping up to speed with the latest Accounting standards and ensuring that the business is fully briefed on their ramifications from a commercial perspective.
