We are looking for a technically and commercially strong qualified financial controller to be responsible for the effective day to day management of the finance function as well as maintaining tight and robust financial controls and providing technical, financial and value adding management accounting support / business partnering to the Finance Director and Executive Leadership team.
The key responsibilities of this exciting new Group Financial Controller opportunity will include; To oversee the preparation of monthly management and annual statutory accounts ,Including the consolidation of overseas subsidiaries; Ad hoc Financial reporting and analysis of monthly Key Performance Indicators; Foreign exchange & currency hedging; Debtor and creditor management; Treasury, including overseas accounts, including interest rate swaps; Management of the Statutory Audit; Management of the Group Corporation Tax liability & exposure to overseas taxation; Quarterly / monthly VAT, PAYE, NI returns; Management of the weekly & monthly payroll; Acting as a key decision support for the business; Management and development of finance team of 7; To Provide ad hoc analytical support to the CEO, CFO and the senior executive team as well as overseeing the annual budgeting process and the monthly forecasting process.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Group Accountant, Finance Manager or Financial Controller with proven commercial and modeling capabilities. Essential to this role is strong technical accounting experience coupled with the ability to be hands-on in challenging, facilitating and influencing at all levels across the group. Also advantageous to this role will be sector experience of working in a fast paced, cost focused manufacturing and/or engineering business coupled with advanced level spreadsheet, data manipulation and MS excel skills.
