THE OPPORTUNITY: Macildowie Executive HR are working in exclusive partnership with a market leading retailer to hire an inspirational Group HR Director. Working with the Senior Leadership Team, you will build people focused foundations that will help the business continue to progress the growth of its commercial people operations and consolidation of its market leading position. This role will pay c£100,000-£130,000p.a + car allowance, bonus, share options and wider benefits and would be suitable for someone living in the East Midlands area.
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The strategic aim of the organisation it to remain highly specialised in their retails markets, whilst high growth will continue to be the focus in commercial markets.
Reporting to the CFO and partnering closely with the Managing Director of the retail businesses you will be responsible for a people agenda that aligns to different brands within the group. You will have exceptional partnering skills and through an approach that favours relationship building and influencing, you will work with the Senior Leadership Team to build employees careers through helping them to achieve their potential whilst recognising and rewarding their efforts and continuing to foster a team spirit that contributes towards high levels of engagement and a fantastic organisational culture.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
In order to be successful in this role, you will be a person who thrives on autonomy and decision making whilst having the relationship building skills to help some of your more 'difficult' stakeholders to achieve the organisational goals of the business and their business areas.
You will have a cultural empathy for the challenges and opportunities that working in retail brings and because of the scale of this opportunity, you will be used to leveraging your influence across multi-site organisations.
You will know exactly how to retain and develop a diverse HR team that includes Business Partners, Learning & Development, Internal Communications and Systems. Whilst having a strategic mind-set, your approach will be very much hands on and you will understand the importance of leading by example.
