The main purpose of this Head of Communications and Marketing role will be to inspire, strategically lead and develop the established Communications and Marketing team and work as an integral part of the organisation's management team. You will be advising and leading a team on the proactive delivery of internal and external communications, marketing and stakeholder engagement. The overall mission will be to help increase the profile and position of the organisation across a range of market sectors and ensuring a clear and consistent brand strategy.

We are looking for an inspirational, strategic leader in communications, media and marketing. You will have a wealth of experience and the passion and ability to transform and lead a team of communications and marketing professionals.
This is a varied role so it would suit someone with experience of working with diverse stakeholders in a variety of professional environments. For example you could be working with the press to manage media relationships and then advising delivery teams on answering local community issues or shaping the annual report and accounts. Ideally you will have the following experience:
-Developing outstanding communications and marketing strategies, which align with corporate objectives
-Proven track record in successfully managing change
-Experience of managing a communications and marketing team, with the ability to coach and motivate staff to reach their full potential
-Working with senior staff and influencing to secure buy-in on strategic communications
-Developing and delivering successful media and strategic campaigns
-Developing relationships with media (press, broadcast and online) in a variety of ways. From managing crisis communications to securing positive PR
-Knowledge and experience of the MCOM2 model would be highly advantageous
