Reporting to a Head of Talent and Resourcing, whose focus is to continue to make the organisation a great place to work through the continued improvement of organisation design and capability, employee engagement, succession & talent planning and leadership development you will promote a learning culture across the organisation.
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
There is real scope to add value in this role, with Learning and Development being the least advanced area of HR within the business. You will own and develop the strategy and your style will be to question and challenge what the business are doing and why. Your focus will be to establish more leadership within the business and you will be involved in re-shaping how leaders at all levels are cultivated and developed. You will strike an appropriate balance between business partnering your stakeholder's and allowing the business to come to you and you will promote a learning culture and engaging leadership philosophy. The outcome of this approach will be that there will be more consistency, quality assurance and connectivity across the business.
A critical focus for the role will be to support the Head of Talent and Resourcing with the development of a new Learning Management System, working with the selected partner on the design, delivery and integration. You will have the privilege of having total ownership over the function, the development of Team Leader and Management Development programmes, as well as providing coaching for the Executive team.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
This is a role that will suit someone who has the ability to build effective working relationships across a whole organisation, whilst acting as a true business partner to teams of Directors and the wider HR team. You will also be able to demonstrate a strong commercial awareness and be able to link development matters with business goals and you will use exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence the Learning and Development agenda.
You will be a forward thinking, proactive L&D professional and will actively demonstrate an interest in utilising current trends, theories and practices to deliver a cutting edge L&D service. You will be able to demonstrate outside the box thinking and will have delivered L&D initiatives that have truly pushed the boundaries.
