Health & Safety and Facilities Administrator
Nottingham
£20,000 - £25,000 PA
Full time - Mon - Fri 37.5 hours per week


Macildowie are super excited to be exclusively recruiting for a Health & Safety and Facilities Administrator for one of the UKs leading pet supplier. The company is still family owned and works very closely with its customers, which is the key to their success!
We are looking for someone who is capable of providing excellent administrative support to the Transport, Health and Safety Manager and has a keen interest in furthering their career in Health & Safety.

Roles & Responsibilities include:


Organise and minute all Health and Safety meetings
Identify, organise, record and monitor all Health and Safety mandatory training
Assist with the drafting up, completion and regular review of risk assessments, method statements, COSHH, MSDS, Manual Handling assessments, DSE assessments
Receive and record all accidents and near-misses and ensuring the Transport, Health and Safety Manager is alerted immediately
Responsible for ensuring first aid boxes are adequately and appropriately stocked at all times
Ordering Health and Safety items including PPE and distributing as required
Liaising with HR to ensure staff assessments are undertaken in a timely manner. For example, expectant mothers risk assessment, ergonomic assessments, DSE etc.
Management of health and safety statistics, updating records and identifying trends in data. Providing reports for Directors weekly/monthly as required
Administration duties; associated with all aspects of Health and Safety, Transport and Facilities
Communicate with all staff & drivers regarding new processes and compliance
Organise and manage third party engineers and specialist to come on site for various testing e.g., PAT, fire panel and heating engineers

Ideal Candidate:


Hands on and good communication skills
To be action-orientated, taking initiative and addressing problems logically and proactively
You will understand the company's vision, mission and values and your role in delivering these
Display a positive and enthused attitude at all times and to be a role model for the business
A Health and Safety administrative background desirable
Facilities and contract management desirable
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Suite with advanced excel skills essential
Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask are essential
Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in written form
Professional and committed to high standards
Exhibit excellent internal and external customer service
