Reporting directly into the Head of Operations ensuring the efficient operation of all stadium health & safety including the management of other departments and third party contractors, at the stadium and its associated sites

The Role as set out by the client :
To understand Health, Safety and Environmental problems or opportunities and communicate values and issues to senior management. Work to protect the health and safety of supporters, staff, any visitor or customer at the Stadium and peripheral sites by ensuring that risks in the arena/workplace are properly controlled and that impact on the environment are minimised.

- Provide honest and constructive advice to the Operations Director in order to improve Health and Safety
- operational procedures.
Act as the Lead competent person as defined by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 Ensure compliance, develop, implement and maintain Health and Safety legislative requirements and best practices at the Stadium and peripheral sites.
Establish and maintain a program of continuous improvement for the Management of Health and Safety, which also promotes a culture of safe working practices across the organisations. Liaise with the Local Authority to ensure the efficient implementation of the HSAW act Attend I-CFC DSA meetings.
Monitor, evaluate and review current legislative requirements to ensure legal compliance. Carry out workplace/stadium safety audits. Devise, develop and monitor effective Risk Assessment Management Strategies and put forward recommendations to implement.
Carry out performance monitoring and provide statistical analysis on energy usage, waste movements and carbon saving topics on a monthly, bi monthly rolling twelve monthly basis. Maintain accident statistics and analytic trends preparing the appropriate reports and actions to be taken.
Undertake safety inspections of both Stadium and Training Ground and provide detailed report of findings each year.
Liaise as necessary with other organisations and the relevant authorities to provide consistency in Health & Safety.
