The Opportunity

Macildowie HR are currently working in partnership with a leading retail organisation in Northampton who are looking for an HR Advisor to join their developing and forward thinking HR team. This is a truly generalist role that will provide someone with a platform to develop their career from. Paying up to £30,000 depending on experience. This role will involve travel to London and around the Midlands on at least 2 days out of the week.

The Company

Within this role, you will be responsible for providing generalist HR support to the retail and sales teams throughout the business. You will be running investigations, dealing with all ER casework such as disciplinary, grievances, absence management, performance management and restructure. You will mentor junior members of the team to support their growth and development.

You will also be working on a number of adhoc HR projects, the business is going through a period of growth and there is a lot to get involved with in terms on change. You will be looking at system implementation, helping to install a new 'Helpline' and case management system as well as process and policy.

You will be required to help with the development and support of the store managers and managing their growth within the business. This will also involve supporting with any structural changes in any of the stores of departments by building proposals and working through a plan to support the change.

The Candidate.

You will ideally have a background of working within the retail industry and must have experience within a recent HR environment. You will be able to use your initiative to problem solve as well as be able to work as part of a team. You will have a can do attitude and be really proactive in your approach to work. You will be looking to work in a progressive and busy HR department as well as wanting to drive your career forward. As this role does involve travel, you need to be comfortable and strong with coaching and mentoring on HR advice on your own when visiting stores.
