Macildowie HR is seriously excited to be working, on an exclusive basis, with a very well-known brand in Leicestershire who is looking for a Junior HR Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis. The opportunity is full of really interesting projects and offers a high level of responsibility across the board as it is a very hand-holding, generalist HR Advising role.
Paying between £29,000 - £32,000 + bonus + very niche and exciting perks!
Reporting into the HR Manager, this role is the definition of a generalist HR opportunity, asking for someone confident in ER; writing job descriptions; interviewing and supporting managers throughout the interview process. A huge part of this role is advising management around policies and procedures from absence management to best practice, and sitting in on interviews and appraisals to support both management and employee. This is such an important part of the job that it requires someone who will proactively want to help management and will actively seek to support where possible. It also requires someone who has the confidence and knowledge to push back and make changes to procedures.
The responsibilities are varied from to covering all paperwork and administration when the HR Assistant is away. Therefore this requires a very flexible and stuck-in attitude. As well as managing day-to-day duties, there are many exciting opportunities that you will be heavily involved in from systems implementation to equality and diversity. Alongside these projects is the need for up-skilling which offers you the chance to identify need and co-ordinate training.
The HR Advisor
You need to be a positive, proactive, and resilient Junior HR Business Partner who can evoke respect and rapport with employees and management on all levels. Being able to stand on your own two feet, there is a large element of coaching and advising, meaning you will want to be in an environment asking for you to hand-hold and guide management through various HR processes. Your experience will include ER, recruitment, absence management, skill-gap analysis and the ability to deal with demanding directors. You will have experience working within an SME which will have equipped you with the ability to be flexible when direction rapidly changes, demanding adaptability.
This is very much a team-focused environment and so asks for someone who is prepared to pick up for both the HR Assistant and the HR Manager in absence, with confidence and no ego around getting stuck in. You need to be CIPD qualified.
