Job Description

Macildowie HR are working with a quintessentially British brand in the Leicestershire area as they are looking to bring on a new HR Advisor on a 12 month FTC to assist with workload. The organisation has 1 site in the UK with a further 3000 based abroad.

The organisation has been around since the early 1900's and they are very passionate about their heritage. They focus on their commitment to develop truly unique products and continue to deliver through innovation. The Head of HR is very down to earth and approachable and the HR team itself is very close knit, they tend to do quite a lot outside of work.

The Role

This is a very generalist role, no areas of the business will be split with the other HR Advisor, you will both share all aspects of HR.
You will act as the first point of contact, advising on HR matters with professional advice and support in a timely manner. You will be responsible for managing absence across the business and will implement a successful absence procedure and policy.
ER casework will not be a focus in this role as although the business is quite large, ER is not. The business do not have any Trade Unions and rarely go to tribunal due to the nature of the business and the family feel.
Alongside the day to day running of the HR department, you will have the opportunity to get involved with some fabulous projects such as implementing a new ATS, looking at the current contracts and changing them in due course as well as adopting new values to suit the new culture of the business.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you must understand stakeholder management and have foresight, you must be able to look for the risk.
The business would like someone who has their CIPD at some level or working towards but this will not rule you out.
Accuracy, flexibility and motivation are all key aspects to be successful in this role.
Resilience is key in this role as there are some interesting characters within the workforce, so you must have the ability to bounce back and push back.

This role is paying between £28,000p.a. and £32,000p.a.
