Macildowie HR is working with a well established organisation in the service industry to recruit a fast-paced Standalone HR Advisor based in Milton Keynes. The role will be, through a variety of means, to develop the HR function alongside a full generalist role. The role is a permanent, with the business looking to pay around £25,000-£30,000, dependant on experience + excellent benefits.
Reporting in to the Regional HR Manager this role will be very varied, with the main purpose of your position is to provide generalist HR support to the business. With one of the main areas being the key employee lifecycle administration including general letters writing and communications, starter, leaver and amendment forms dealt with I recorded as appropriate, scanning responding to emails in the HR inbox, run reports and gather stats when requested
Another key area of this role will be your involvement in the recruitment process where you will work with managers to create job descriptions and adverts, arrange interviews where required, invite candidates and reject candidates and maintain PSL and relationships with agencies.
The final key area of this role will be to advise managers on first level ER issues, counselling, minor misconduct, written warnings, non-complex absence cases and escalate ER issues to Senior HR Advisor. You will also produce clear, factual letters from both cases you have completed and those of the HR Manager and wider team as required.
There will also be the chance to get involved in some great ad-hoc projects such as the internal communications project; (raise art work requests, display posters, send communications to the business).
The ideal candidate will be a brilliant relationship builder, able to work with stakeholders of varying levels across different disciplines of the business. These relationships are key to providing a quality service to all internal customers.
You will also need to be comfortable handling low level employee relations cases, and able to escalate to the Senior HR advisor as required.
Attention to detail and a process focused mind-set is also vital as you will be dealing with a high volume of transactional work that is crucial to the business.
CIPD qualification is not a necessity but would certainly be advantageous.
As a person you won't take yourself too seriously, and will be able to work as part of the wider team, be that HR or the organisation as a whole, to help the company continue to grow.
