£28,000 - £30,000 p.a

Macildowie HR are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a family owned manufacturing business within Leicester. You will be a valued member of their close-nit HR team and support around 900 staff members on site. This is a really exciting generalist opportunity where you will get your teeth into blue collar ER casework, but also work in collaboration with the HR team on projects and ensuring positive change. Within this position you will play an instrumental part in coaching and supporting line managers through employment relation cases, such as grievances and disciplinaries. You will need to build strong relationships with managers to be able to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are fair and follow the company's processes. Together with the Learning and Development team you will support in the upskilling and development of managers, so that they are able to have more accountability and take responsibility of ER decision making with your guidance and case management.

Employment law should be your bread and butter, staff members will come to you for advice on any employment matters, such as Maternity/Paternity leave and flexible working. It is important that you provide knowledgeable advice and ensure confidentiality with each case.

This company strive to always drive performance and ensure continuous improvement. You will play a crucial part in this by producing monthly reports on key HR performance indicators, such as absence rates and engagement. These reports will influence action plans for the HR team agenda and project work.

The HR team are looking for a candidate who has come from a generalist HR background, ideally within manufacturing. Someone who enjoys having accountability and is proactive in their approach, and would feel confident giving solid employment law advice to all levels of staff including senior managers. Good reporting and data skills will also be important in your success within this position.
