Macildowie HR are working with a well known business in North Leicestershire as they look to recruit an HR Assistant to join their fun and vibrant team. This is a permanent position offering a salary between £18,000-£21,000 with other great benefits. This role would suit someone who is currently in an HR Administrator role and wanting to progress.
Working within a team of 5 HR Assistants, you will report in to the HR Shared Services Manager to provide a customer focused, timely HR Administration and support services to the business which covers c5,000 employees across a number of sites.
You will support the recruitment function by posting adverts internally and externally as well as assisting the Hiring Managers with external advertising, utilising external providers.
Administering all new starter requirements will fall within this role, this includes new starter checks, offer letters, contracts and reference checks.
You will also process changes to terms and conditions, manage, administer and provide advice on maternity, paternity etc. and maintain accurate employee data and files.
You will be working closely with the other HR Assistants, as well as the HR Advisors to escalate relevant queries as necessary but to support them with ER issues. Liasising with the payroll team will also be an important part of this role.
The business would love it if you wanted to actively participate in process improvement and various HR projects as they have a few bits on the horizon.
The Ideal Candidate
Accuracy and attention to detail are a must in this role, as is applying the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Basic Employment Law knowledge and understanding would be advantageous as well as experience using and inputting into IT/HR systems and databases.
