HR Business Partner - Northampton - Permanent - £40,000-£50,000
Macildowie Recruitment is pleased to be working with a growth business in Northampton in the recruitment of a newly created HR Business Partner role. The HR Business Partner will be part of a new complement of HR Business Partners as the business leadership team look to develop and further the HR service offering. The role will be based in Northampton and will require very occasional travel to a couple of smaller sites. Our client is looking to pay between £40,000 and £50,000 and is really looking for someone to grow with the business.
The HR Business Partner will operate in tactical capacity offering a proactive partnering service to stakeholders at all levels. The HR Business Partner will lead on the deployment of group HR initiatives which will involve bespoking and tweaking to ensure that any group projects are fit for purpose. The HR Business Partner will engage with the local business and come forward with suggestions for interventions at local level while also feeding data and results into the wider group and HR team.
The role will have a strong focus on organisational design and development. Talent management and succession planning are focuses for the business moving forward as they look to future proof their business and move to a high performing culture so the HR Business Partner will act as a conduit and facilitator with regards to driving through succession plans and correctly identifying talent. The HR Business Partner will work to ensure that career development pathways are available to employees which may involve overhauling key development programmes.
The HR Business Partner will be tasked with assessing current structures within the business and will ensure that job gradings and descriptions are consistent with the evolving needs of the business, but also to ensure that the business is able to attract the best talent in the market.
The HR Business Partner will also be expected to be an advocate of best practice with regards to performance management, absence management and general operational HR practice.
You will need to come from a fast paced background, ideally within an FMCG, retail or supply chain business and will have experience with organisational design and/or talent management. You will have an appetite for delivering change and will have a strong commercial outlook on how HR can support a growing business. You will be comfortable in maintaining ownership of HR initiatives from conception to implementation.
The business have a portfolio of many well known brands under their roof and have plans for further growth in the coming years. With a recently introduced HR Director and an incoming Managing Director, the business have the right bums on seats to ensure that change and improvement is a real, tangible objective.
