Job Description

Macildowie HR are pleased to be partnering with a leading FMCG business in their recruitment of a HR Business Partner. This is a permanent opportunity to join a global business at one of their key sites in the UK based in Yorkshire. Reporting into the HR Director the HR Business Partner will be responsible for an employee group of circa 500 and a diverse stakeholder group including operations and corporate functions. This is a permanent role offering a competitive package with a base salary between £52-58,000.

The Role:

As the HR Business Partner you will work closely with the senior management team across the site to develop and implement a business focused people plan ensuring commercial gains. You will have overall responsibility for any Employee Relations issues including complex case management and negotiations with Union representatives. You will act as a peer to the HR team based on site and be instrumental in steering their activity and providing training where needed. This is a generalist BP role which will see the successful person lead on a number of projects relating to performance management, change management, training and development and global mobility. By building robust and trusted relationships with employees and the SMT the HR Business Partner will ensure that the business operates with consistency in its approach.

The Person:

As a senior member on site the HR Business Partner will be expected to demonstrate expertise across all areas of HR. You will demonstrate exceptional credentials in stakeholder management and have a natural flare for coaching, influencing and challenging where appropriate. Previous experience of change management, managing complex ER issues and trade union negotiations is essential for this role. You will be an exemplary communicator and act as an example to the wider HR team on best practice approach. You will be proactive and forward thinking in your approach able to challenge that new ideas can provide commercial success.
