Job Description

Macildowie HR is delighted to be working with an industry leading National organisation to hire a HR Business Partner for an immediate start to assist with a major transformation project as well as BAU, reporting in to the HR Director and engaging with senior stakeholders across the project division and wider business. This role is based in Northampton though includes regualar travel and is offered initially as a fixed term contract until December 31st, with a strong likelihood of extension, and paying £55,000 to £60,000 per aunnum + benefits.

The Role

This roles main remit will be specifically to help with the IT Transformation project, although will also be expected to help with BAU as and when required. Key areas will include career Pathways/Development reviewing existing framework and skills and Job Descriptions and career Level review for IT roles, agreeing the approach for business in terms of red circling roles.


You will also be involved in the recruitment of any IT roles not filled via internal campaigns including looking after the conversion of contractor roles to permanent, reviewing recruitment strategy and salary benchmarking.

This role will also support IT Leadership Team with communication around people initiative such as talent and Succession and the people Survey results, helping drive engagement throughout the division.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a HR Generalist, with experience of supporting multi-site, disparate Corporate/Group functions as well as previous experience of leading on change projects.

Strong business and commercial acumen as well as strong personal impact and relationship building skills are also key, with sound up to date knowledge of employment legislation.

Experience of coaching and influencing managers and excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence effectively with all levels of the organisation are also a must.
