Macildowie HR are working with a family business in Leicester as they are looking for an HR Assistant/Coordinator to join them permanently.
This commercial and fast paced business are wanting someone to come in and support the HR Manager so she can focus on implementing new policies, procedures and ways of working.
This would be a great role for someone who has been at the HR Admin level and wanting to get more exposure in to different aspects of HR.
You will own the recruitment process updating job descriptions, advertising roles, direct sourcing and finishing with the offers and contract letters. The business have recently brought recruitment back in house and have a PSL in place so you will be responsible for maintaining this.
You will get involved with disciplinary and grievance investigations alongside the HR Manager by note taking and sending the outcome letters.
The HR Manager has a lot of projects lined up for the business and this will take her the majority of her time so you will be the first point of contact for HR queries in her absence but you shall also support with the projects which are really exciting!
The projects that are on the horizon so far will be looking at the induction process, probationary reviews, appraisals and one of the larger projects will be looking at the visions and values of the business.
The Ideal Candidate
As this is a fast paced business, the successful candidate will need to be able to work at pace but ensure attention to detail is there.
The HR Manager has a loose management style, she would describe herself as more collaborative. She is quite focused in her role and wants to deliver the best HR service to the business.
To be successful in this role you must have a strong HR Admin background as well as a resilient personality with a sense of humour! The business want someone who is process driven, someone that understands the way HR has to be but you also need to be a little flexible and commercial.
