This is an exciting time to join a business in a newly created HRD role that have a new UK CEO looking to create an exciting journey and strategic plan for the business over the next 3-5 years. Working for the CEO, the UK executive, with a close link to the Global CFO this is an excellent role for someone looking to shape and support the growth plans of an already successful business.
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting into the CEO who has impressive credentials and a style that is collaborative yet challenging who leads from the front, you will play an important role on the board. This will include devising and implementing the business strategy with the UK Exec team in conjunction with General Managers in other country sites. You will also be passionate about developing the careers of your own team of on-site HR leaders both in the UK and international divisions. You will work closely with the new EMT who is looking to see a culture change including business strategy, objectives and incentives across the entire group. A key part of the role will be supporting, coaching and developing the existing Exec team while leading change programs from the UK board across the globe. Implementing and supporting change with existing HR leaders outside the UK will be vital for success in the role. As the business already have HR leaders across their sites this role is being offered as a permanent position pro-rata to 3 days per week (although additional days will be considered for the right candidate if they demonstrate all the skills and attributes required to add exceptional value to the business). This role promises excitement, challenge and breadth in equal measure; reviewing and shaping the strategy in monthly board and leadership meetings whilst also offering consistent challenge and support as a confidant of the CFO.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
As the business has 4 UK sites candidates need to have commutable access to either the South Midlands (2 sites) or Buckinghamshire (2 sites).To be considered this role it is imperative candidates have all the experience required by the CEO. The key background required includes: Experience at HRD level in a manufacturing/process environment - experience of managing a Legal process as well as HR - your background will evidence change, strategic review as well as EMT leadership, coaching and development. As there is a global scope for this role there is an expectation that you will travel, at least once per month, to 3 other global locations.
