Job Description

A hands-on, multi-site, Generalist HR opportunity within a Blue Chip organisation in Leicester. This is such a high-exposure opportunity for an HR Advisor who wants to get stuck in to an ER, recruitment and project-heavy job role. The business is growing and is continuing to build a strong and high-standard reputation.
The hours are 8:30 5; there will be 1 shift of 12 9pm a month. Travel to the 3 other sites across the UK will be required occasionally.
This role is paying up to £27,000 and offers exciting progression opportunities.

The Job
Working with the HR team, this role offers the chance to be at the desk as well as being out and about visiting the sites. Although this is a generalist role, there will be a heavy focus on supporting in a range of ER cases, including a variety of disciplinary, grievance, tribunal, dismissal, absence management and appraisal cases. Being able to speak with a range of employees, from site workers to management, you will also be the requirement to support in recruitment, from identifying needs, writing job adverts through to interviewing and offering.


ER, capability and recruitment are the main focuses of this generalist role; it needs an HR Advisor who will coach and support line managers, working alongside them and mentoring them rather than leaving them to it.
There is huge scope for project work within this role with a great deal of recruitment and academy projects already on the cards. The HR team work closely together, managing these projects and bouncing ideas off of each other to create new and exciting projects.


The Candidate
This blue-collar environment requires a robust, confident and patient HR Advisor who can instantly build rapport and evoke trust and reliability. It also asks for someone who can work at a very fast pace, who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. Flexibility and integrity are the most important attributes of the perfect candidate as there will be a lot of give and take in this role.


The manager would love to find someone who can light up a room when they walk in because of their positivity. It is so important for you to be an advocate of the business and of professionalism, setting the high standards at all times.
Your experience will look like 2+ years working within a heavy ER focused role dealing with a range of complex cases, experience within a commercial and blue-collar environment and your CIPD.
