Macildowie HR is currently working with a fantastic forward thinking business based in Corby, Northamptonshire in recruiting for a HR Officer. This is a fully generalist role and will give you the chance to get involved with various projects. This is a permanent role paying up for £35,000 depending on experience plus brilliant benefits.
Reporting into the Head of HR, the HR Officer will be responsible for managing the recruitment process including authorising and advertising job roles, reviewing CVs, booking in interviews and providing detailed and appropriate feedback to the candidates. Following on from recruitment, you will also be responsible for the onboarding process ensuring that all offer letters and contracts are issued and completed along with correct and accurate right to work documentation.
You will support the Head of HR with pushing policies and making improvements on the HR systems. You will support with ER cases which will consist of absence and performance.
This role will enable you the opportunity to get involved with the businesses flexible benefits scheme and ensuring that this is maintained when introducing new initiatives.
The business as a whole is looking to step forward with its HR department so you will get the chance to be involved with various projects in order to progress the team. You will also be looking at the new pay grading system for hourly paid employees and implementing new training programs alongside the Training Manager.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking at gaining exposure within a generalist HR role. You will need to have vast experience in a fully generalist role and be used to a fast paced hard hitting background such as manufacturing or logistics. You will be able to use your own initiative to create your own workload when the Head of HR is not on site. You will be able to use data and analysis to show results and be very solutions focused.
Previous experience within a HR Officer/Advisory role
Ability to work with autonomy
The ability to handle a heavy workload with minimal supervision
Previous generalist experience
Experience in a fast paced HR role
Good interpersonal skills polite and helpful at all times
Excellent standard of written and spoken English
