A global manufacturer based in Cambridgeshire is seeking to recruit an Interim Global Supply Chain Manager to join their Division.
Reporting into the Operations Director and part of the Divisional Management Team, you will be responsible for end to end Supply Chain across multiple sites globally.
Specifically you will be responsible for developing the Supply Chain strategy for the Group and manage the strategic approach to production planning, scheduling, materials management and inventory control processes. You will operate in a hands on way to manage the supply chain teams to ensure they contribute to delivering cost reduction through sourcing activities.
Continuous Improvement is a key focus of each manufacturing facility so you will be expected to drive the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodology as well as striving to evolve the S&OP processes.
Developing and delivering inventory management plans, you will be focused on improving customer service levels and assessing and supporting the development of existing key suppliers supply chains.
To be considered for this fantastic new opportunity, you must have substantial experience in a manufacturing operations environment with multi-site responsibility. You will have excellent experience of manufacturing systems, ideally SAP and have very strong leadership skills. Stakeholder Management is critical to the success of this role so the ability to negotiate with and work with people from diverse cultures across the globe is critical. Qualifications wise, it is highly desirable that you have a degree in Management or Business Studies and have a Supply Chain recognised qualification.
