A large dynamic global organisation with a large site in are looking for a HR Business Partner/HR Manager to work with the site leadership team on the HR strategy, performance management, talent & succession planning, engagement, reward, ER, implementing policies and procedures and operational change to helping push the business forward on initially a 3 month interim contract with the potential for the role to become permanent. You will be an engaging and confident people manager and able to work closely in partnership with the Managing Director to provide an employee focused and high performance culture. The HR Business Partner role is based in Coventry (commutable from Birmingham, South Warwickshire, Leicestershire and North Northamptonshire paying a day rate of £300 - £350 initially with the permanent opportunity looking to pay between £50,000 - £58,000 p.a. The organisation is looking for someone to start asap and open to getting in a 'career interim' in for the first 3 months.
Reporting into the HR Director and helping manage a brand new operational HR team you will quickly build relationships of all levels across the site in order to effectively become the 'go to' HR person on site. A key part of this role will be to change the perception of HR on this site as a value add proactive service so we are looking for someone who can build effective relationships quickly and challenge and influence at all levels quickly.
This will give you a solid foundation to assess the structure, policies & processes and people issues from the bottom up in order to make adequate changes and improvements, ensuring growth plans are achieved. You will provide both operational and strategic commercial advice on people matters to ensure key decisions are driven through.
In this generalist HR role, a key focus of the role is to lead on organisation change management projects, building talent and succession plans across the business and looking at employee engagement flagging concerns before they come and issue and building on the positive values at the heart of the organisation. You will use your experience to review Learning and Development needs for the area and propose activities to address these, creating business cases for justifying spend where necessary. You will actively lead on key strategic projects, such as looking at longer term reward issues and putting key processes in place.
- Experience in a blue-collar industry is essential.
- Immediately available or on a short notice period.
- Experienced HR generalist with a strong track record in delivering results
- Experience working with the leadership team, strongly influencing in a partnering approach
- Proven ability in establishing and maintaining effective relationships in blue collar industries
- Responsive to a changeable environment with a flexible and pragmatic approach
