Based across the South East of England, we are actively and urgently searching for a key account manager, to work within the distribution and wholesale department with independent merchants to become their "One Stop Shop" for all their materials.
The candidate should have knowledge of plumbing and heating materials, or experience of working with bathroom products to sell into small independent businesses. This role requires travel across the South East of England, so a full UK Driving licence in necessary and knowledge of the routes for commuting. Presentation skills, adaptability and strong communication abilities are necessary for supplying some of your key clients with plans and strategies to maximise their account expenditure and deliver consistent high quality products to the end user.
The company work are part of the Travis Perkins group within heating and plumbing divisions and wish to further grow their recognition and product usage across the country. The aim is to supply the independents with one place to suit all their needs and maintain relationships with key account holders.
Other Key responsibilities include:
- Build personal knowledge of the market and customers market/trading area
- Create and maintain an Account Development Plan
- Identify additional revenue streams
- Presentation to decision at all levels
- Implementation of all rate reviews
- Relationship manager
- Effective diary and time management
The position offers a competitive basic salary ranging from £43,000-£48,000, plus a commission structure, company car and other benefits.
